I know He does, because...
When you feel worthless
He will develop your abilities
When you don't feel beautiful
He reminds you of your inner beauty He gave you.
When you you feel unworthy
He shows you His Love and instills worth in you.
When you wept over your sins
He forgives you.
When you have tried and failed
He bridges the gap.
When you think you have nothing to offer
He see your potential.
When no one else seems to care
He does. He is enough.
My thoughts on you Lord: I praise you for treasuring me. Thank you for reminding me from your word this morning that you treasure me.

My thoughts are on the Lord
My thoughts are on the Lord tonight.
Dear Lord,
You are the center of my life. I'm filled with exceedingly great joy. A joy that wells up within me and overflows. Troubles may come up. Circumstances may seem impossible to overcome, but joy is at the center of my being. When I'm bone-tired (which I am) Your joy, Lord is my strength. Thank you for teaching me what is important in life. It isn't a smooth-flowing life with no trails or stress (although I long for that!) It isn't perfect happiness and plenty riches. The important thing is to stir up goodness, kindness, peace and joy, generated by your Holy Spirit.
In good times and bad I have learned to praise You. As my praises go upward to You, new joy fills my heart. The more joy I pass on to others, the more You refill me with unquenchable joy. My joy in You remains!!!

ABUNDANT LIFE
The Lord has given me such an abundant life. It is not perfect. It has not been without pain and sorrow. It is still abundant!!!!! He has given me a life that has triumphs over the circumstances! I have more because of the Lord...a deep, bubbling, unquenchable, satisfying, everlasting joy and peace. I thank the Lord for this. His Spirit fills my soul well to overflowing. He supplies the living water. It satisfies my thirst day after day.
In much thought/prayer today.

Today
Will be a great day because: I am a child of the King. He satisfies me. With His blood I am free. I've been redeemed. He has given me mercy and grace. If you are redeemed so say.

One Person Can Make A Difference
When I saw this ---- I was reminded of "God's Promises" and one person can make a difference.

I can make a difference for my family. (Noah did)
I can make a difference for God's creation. (Noah did)
I can make a difference for future Generations. (Noah did)
I can make a difference for God. (Noah did)
I can make a difference at any age. (Noah did)
I need to remember....
Not to be afraid to stand out in the crowd. (Noah wasn't)
Not to be afraid to do something for the first time. (Noah wasn't)

My Head Is Swimming
There are days (a lot lately) when my head is swimming with too many details: the grocery list, the laundry, the phone calls, the curriculum for this fall, oh yeah making money,-- and don't even get me started on the emails that have stacked up! How about you? Do you ever feel this way. I feel like screaming at times AHHHHHHH! Maybe your list is a little different, but I bet your brain is swirling. The practical side of me says, " Just make a list of what needs to be done and then do it."
The Lord pricked my heart today. OUCH!!! My devotion reading was Psalms 37: 3-5
The Lord says, "Commit your work to me and I will help you." What a wonderful God! It's not hard to delight in such a God.

Grow at the hands of your critics
Weather the person's motive for confronting us is good or evil we'd be wise to learn a lesson. No matter how unfair the criticism might seem to be. We should prayerfully spread it before the Lord. "Lord, please show me the truth hidden in this criticism."
One of the ways we can measure our maturity is by how we respond to confrontation.

The God Hunt
Have you ever heard of it?
I was reading today that Karen and David Mains first introduced this through their Chapel of the Air radio broadcast. They suggest keeping a daily journal in which you record a sentence (just a sentence) describing how you've seen God in your life that day. It could be an obvious answer to prayer or timing that seems too perfect to be coincidence. By keeping a notebook and mentally walking your day, you are going to "spy" God where you might have missed Him.
I don't know about you but I want to "spy" God in my life. I want to notice!!! I want to remember. It sure would encourage my heart to here when/how you spied God in your daily life.

Where is the Key?

Where is the key to a close relationship with Christ? Is it begging Him for His presence? Reading the Bible for hours throughout the day? In sacrifice and service? Do any of these things earn merit in God's sight? How about long prayers?
Through my own life I have asked these questions. Haven't we all at some point?
The answer: Christ
I had to allow Him to turn the lock to every room in my heart, then fling wide the door and let Him enter. He already knew about the hidden dirt and dust bunnies in the corners. He was well aware of thoughts and actions that displeased Him. I asked Him to bring His broom, mop and plenty of soap. There was lots of cleaning to do.
Jesus is not a mere image or lovely picture on the wall. He is a living Saviour. He wants to be our dearest Friend. When Jesus is totally welcome to EVERY room in our lives, we will know His presence and be able to walk closely with Him.

God's plan? Does He really have one for me?
If you could meet one person from the Bible (other than Jesus ,of course) who would it be?
I would like to meet Queen Esther. If ever there was someone with a strong sense of place and destiny, it is Esther. I know much of her life she did not realize that God had a very special place for her to serve. Her parents died at a young age and she was adopted by her uncle. I am sure she felt alone, lost and afraid. She grew up in a strange county around strange people. She had to go through many hardship in her life. But she was given an opportunity. The opportunity to be Queen. Well, you know the rest of the story.
There have been periods in my life that I have not understood God's plan or purpose for my life. Have you ever been there? I know that just because I don't comprehend God's plan doesn't mean He doesn't care or doesn't have one.

Your Yoke
I wrote about gentleness here.
Here is my prayer tonight.
Lord, Your yoke fits perfectly. Thank you for it and for teaching me gentleness and humility this week. Thank you for opening my heart and eyes. In doing so, I have found peace. You showed me how we carry the load together. We have twice the strength when we have each other.
All I have to do is follow and obey. No longer will I look at the vexed Wal-mart worker and be agitated. I will be gentle. I will have a open heart to the gas-station worker, who is struggling just to pay the bills.
I will no longer dig in stubbornly and claim my rights.
Amen
Remember: On Monday Jan 28th at 9 AM* (Eastern), I'll randomly pick TWO winners from the Linky List to receive a fun prize package.

Gentleness
Clothe yourselves with... Gentleness
Galatians 5:22-23 and Colossians 3:12
I pray for patience, I pray for love, I pray for purity and self control. But Gentleness. I seldom pray for the grace of gentleness. The Lord has been pricking my heart to be "gentle" with my thoughts, words and actions.
Both gentleness and meekness are born of power, not weakness.
I have been studying Isaiah 40. In this chapter it describes both the power and the tenderness of God. Oh, how I want to be more like Him.
Things I am working on:
1. Treating others gently
2. Treating others considerately
3. Seeking a gentle spirit
I am seeking the Lord to make me aware of specific situations in which I fail to act with gentleness or considerateness.

Boldness To Do Right
Boldness from God is:
To fear not when giving your all.
To shun not when risking for Christ.
To shrink not when standing for right.
To waver not in honesty and integrity.
To limit not the capacity to love.
To squelch not enthusiasm for Christ.
To seek not the limelight lest you fall.
To heed not those who speak wrong.
God's Holy Spirit helps us:
Be bold for the truth in His Spirit.
Be bold to serve Christ in His Spirit.
Be bold to tell of God's love in His Spirit.
Be bold!

Reflecting on God
I have a confession to make. Sometimes I feel so defenseless as a Christian women. Sort of like a cat without claws. While others may use their mouth s and swing their "rights" and at time I have seen fists, God asks His women to put on a meek and quiet spirit. We're called to gentleness and submissiveness (I Peter 3:4). As the Psalms says, Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. I can take comfort in the promise that God will take care of me. He will always come to my rescue. He will guide me with His wisdom. The part I really like is He will also tread down my enemies!
I know I can't be alone in how I feel. How about you? As a Christian women do you ever feel defenseless?

REFLECTING ON GOD'S PROMISES
Have you ever traveled down, down, down into any dark valleys yourself? Can you remember a time of panic? Of suffering and sorrow? Of terror as darkness seemed to overshadow you and swallow you up as you journeyed into the unknown?
I can pinpoint a few personal dark times myself.
1. Getting "The Phone Call". My sister had been killed in an auto accident.
2. Sitting by my mother-in-laws deathbed listening to my husband say goodbye.
3. Getting "The Phone Call" My brother had been killed in a train accident.
4. Several days at my father's bed side after he had a heart attack. Wondering if I was going to lose him.
5. Several "mothering times when things didn't seem to be going in the right direction.
Yes, I've known darkness. I have tasted fear. I have lived it in those moments. The ray of sunshine was and is. I can and could praise God for those dark times. Why? Because I know something about of His promised presence. He was there with me every step of the way. I also know about His grace - it was sufficient for me in those terrifying times. It was His presence that enabled me to walk through those deep valleys of darkness and death.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death...." (through being the key word) You do get through those valley's. Just keep walking don't stop . Never fail to keep walking. Don't falter. Don't ponder. Just proceed. WALK!!!! Believe me when I say....it is so much easier said than done. But keeping WALKING.
I would love to hear from you. How has the Good Shepherd lead you through the valley?
