Lately, much of my time and energy has been spent on my knees before God in prayer.

Tragic

Simply No Words....

Steven Curtis Chapman’s youngest child died Wednesday evening after being struck by a car driven by her teenage brother in the driveway of the family’s Williamson County home.

The 5-year-old was hit by an SUV driven by her teenage brother, she said. Police did not give the driver’s name.

The teen was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser down the driveway of the rural home at about 5:30 p.m. and several children were playing in the area, McPherson said. He did not see Maria in the driveway before the vehicle struck her, she said.

“It appears to be a terrible accident,’’ McPherson said. (taken from Tennessean)

Your Yoke

I wrote about gentleness here.

Here is my prayer tonight.

Lord, Your yoke fits perfectly. Thank you for it and for teaching me gentleness and humility this week. Thank you for opening my heart and eyes. In doing so, I have found peace. You showed me how we carry the load together. We have twice the strength when we have each other.

All I have to do is follow and obey. No longer will I look at the vexed Wal-mart worker and be agitated. I will be gentle. I will have a open heart to the gas-station worker, who is struggling just to pay the bills.

I will no longer dig in stubbornly and claim my rights.

Amen

Organizing My Prayer Life

I am looking for an effective way to organize my prayer life.

I have kept a simple running list of prayer request and answered prayers for many years. I suppose this is good but I want to be better. After all the Lord does deserves our best.

So, I decided to call upon all my very bright and creative bloggy friends for some tips and suggestions. How do you organize your prayer request (life)?

Wow....how it is so true....the day RUSHES by fast!!!

My prayer tonight:

Dear Lord,

Slow my feet down, slow my head down, slow my hands down, slow my thoughts ....just slow me down. I run around all day trying to get things done. What have I done for YOU today? Not as much as I could of / should of and I am sorry. Please forgive this rushed around...burned out (at times) mommy. I am sure you gave me opportunities to do your bidding today ... but I missed them ... I was BUSY. Help me to listen to your voice. SLOW ME DOWN!!! LIFE IS RUSHING BY TO FAST!!!

ALL YOU HAVE DONE

Dear Lord,

You have led me through so many wildernesses in my life. Sometimes, I even needed forty years, like Moses, to find my way out. Oh, the testing and trials along the way. The darkness, the storm, the frightening shadows, and the fears for the future. At times I couldn't see me way. But you could. Thank you for walking by and finding me along the wilderness path. Your direction are right, Your lessons, true. Even the trials taught me wisdom and made me strong.

Dear Heavenly Father:

Thank you for the future. Although there are times I feel unsure about what lies ahead, the future for me and the ones I love is in Your hands. You know what is best for us. I know You will be with me through the good times and the struggles. You remind me of your presence daily.
