What's in your pocket?

Not much!

Notice the date in the bottom corner --- 22 days and counting. I am so glad I serve a God who promises to take care of me. No matter what!!! Bring it on Opec.

* I will not be discouraged
* I will not allow media hype scare me.
* I will not worry.

I will trust in the Lord and live smart.

It's true. We need to trust the Lord. We are also trying to be more frugal. I just talked to my SIL- she and her 3 children are taking the minibus to a hair appt today. We live in a more rural area, so taking buses is not a common thing for most folks around here.

That's what our gas is here- or should I say that's what it was last Sunday when John filled my tank. Who knows what it is now. It just challenges us to be more creative in saving money elsewhere- and cutting down on the driving we do needlessly.

Our gas is not quite that high but give the government some time...it's ridiculous..our prices range from 130. to 148.5 or so..thanks for your sweet comments on McKenna's hair..

Girl...let me tell you that it is only going to get worse, BUT...we serve a GREAT BIG and MIGHTY God and with Him ALL things are possible.

I am "consolidating" my trips and making sure I do something (anything) for my business while I am out so I can write off that day's mileage. (Gotta think outside of the box and be more strategic).

Amen to that!

Our gas is between $4.30-4.78 I hate these prices. We won't go anywhere unless we walk or need to drive but no going on a drive anymore. Happy WW!

The gas prices makes me feel faint whenever I pass the gas station! :P

We live in the country so have to drive a ways to get anywhere. This is driving our bills way up. But thankfully we don't trust in money. I take it as a challenge.

You have such a positive outlook - that's wonderful. It still scares me though...

There are a lot of things being affected by the price at the pump, especially groceries. I'm so thankful God has blessed me with three very helpful things. 1) The grocery store is three blocks away. 2) My husband works there, and can bring home whatever I need. 3) God's opened my eyes to some great mom blogs that have helped me learn better frugality (menu-planning, CVSing, etc.) Mostly, I'm just thankful for His peace during these times...it'd be too scary without Him! :)

I'll admit that when I drove past the gas station last night (prices had gone up 20cents since the day before) on my way home from the grocery store, I started to panic a little.

trying to stay hopeful.
