God's plan? Does He really have one for me?

If you could meet one person from the Bible (other than Jesus ,of course) who would it be?

I would like to meet Queen Esther. If ever there was someone with a strong sense of place and destiny, it is Esther. I know much of her life she did not realize that God had a very special place for her to serve. Her parents died at a young age and she was adopted by her uncle. I am sure she felt alone, lost and afraid. She grew up in a strange county around strange people. She had to go through many hardship in her life. But she was given an opportunity. The opportunity to be Queen. Well, you know the rest of the story.

There have been periods in my life that I have not understood God's plan or purpose for my life. Have you ever been there? I know that just because I don't comprehend God's plan doesn't mean He doesn't care or doesn't have one.

I can totally relate to not understanding God's plan for my life. Sometimes I feel like He's leading me one way and then another way and it just gets so confusing sometimes. But I know that HE is in control, and He is going to lead me where I need to go. :)

Love Esther's story!, I find that I can only live one day at a time, and live it FULL, not so easy, But I try to follow day ,to day. It seems to help. Enjoy the journey:)

I have been lurking on your blog for some time and thought I'd finally chime in!

I would love to meet Jesus' mother, Mary. I'd like to sit down with her, drink some tea and ask her loads of questions. Some about her devotion to God, what she felt when she realized what was about to happen to her, what labor and delivery was like (God's son? No labor pains? I doubt it.), what Jesus was like as a child...

There are so many people I would like to talk with, but God chose Mary to birth His son. I'd want to pick her brain!

I love the story of Esther - what a great choice. I think I would want to meet Mary - she would have a story to tell.

Hum...that's a good question...there are so many, like Esther, Mary (Jesus's mother), Jochebed (Moses' mother), Deborah the judge...Abraham, oh the list could go on and on...I have so many questions and so many discussions to have when I get to heaven. All good, of course!

I have been there my friend...when I stepped out of ministry at a large thriving church, at the top of my career (that's argueable), etc...into the wildnerness...but I knew that God led me there and even though I couldn't understand why it was what HE wanted and I just needed to be obedient and follow.

I now seek Him for everything, for food on our table, for ministry opportunities, for the safety and health of my kids, everything...I think I completely took that for granted before.

It is a long and sometimes dark road, but I know that "to whom much is given much is expected".

(Sorry to write a book on ya)
xoxo,
Melissa
