Overwhelming FEAR

Is there something that fills you with a sense of overwhelming fear?

Something that makes your inside want to jump out of your body.

Anyone who knows me personally (in real life) knows I have this deep fear of frogs and mice. (more of frogs than mice)
just posting this picture gives me the creeps inside. I might need to delete it later.

Silly to some...very real to me. I wish I could explain it. I have never been able to overcome it. I live with it---kind of, I run and scream like a little school girl when I see one.

Any suggestions?

Snakes creep me out like that! I just can't make myself touch them, when someone is showing me a pet. When I come across one by surprise in the yard, forget it, I'm off and running.

Sorry. No suggestions. My husband hates snakes. They don't bother me so much. But let a spider cross my path and there will be heck to pay...for the spider and anyone else in the way.

I'm with Kimberly snakes are my issue. The other creepy crawly things and rodents I got over living in NY city and Africa .. just too many of them to not get over the fears.

loved the pic of the frog and mouse, to me almost looked cute but then, it was a picture :p

I'm not crazy about snakes, mainly because you don't see one until you almost step on it. Once you get over that, watching them is fascinating. Mice creep me out too!

My suggestion would be to stop looking at pictures of such creatures. Ewwwww! And screw overcoming fear.

I have no idea, but if you find out let me know and maybe it will help me get over my irrational fear of snakes.

Seriously, what's wrong with running and screaming???

There's not much that gives me overwhelming fear -- but there are some things that just down right give me the creeps. Roaches. Heights. And Stephen King.

I hate lizards. Just the thought of them makes my skin crawl. When I taught at the middle school, I had to take a lizard from a boy that was trying to put in on another kid (who was terrified of them). I thought I was going to be physically sick, but I did it. Just proves that you can overcome fear if you have to. I'm sure if a mouse or a frog got on your child, you'd take whatever actions necessary to get it off. We, mothers, tend to do what we have to when it's called for. I just pray that I don't have to come in contact with any more lizards.

I am the same way about something myself. If I can think about it in time, deep breathing and praying. If I am caught off guard, though, it would be screaming, running, then deep breathing and praying! lol
