Commune with Nature

I needed this today. My soul needed this.

I have been working on several projects plus trying to prepare for homeschool starting full time in less than a month.

I was wondering what you do when you need to take a deep breathe and commune with nature. I would love to hear your stories.

Refresh my soul.

That is a beautful picture!

I have been regularly checking on my flower gardens as new ones bloom. My favorite is my blue hydrangea, Lauren and I walk around the side of the house to see it everyday.

Hi Sue,

Thank you.

Hydrangea's are one of my favorite flowers.

It's a wonderful thing to watch how God wakes up His creation.

How beautiful. I can see why this would bring you some peace.

I like to go to the lake or the ocean when I need a nature refresher. I love the peacefulness of the water.

Hi Alexis,

The ocean reminds me of God's heart beat.

Ah, we sure don't have any beautiful nature close by where we are in NJ. But, Eric and I like to sit on the driveway sometimes at night (no mosquitoes there for some reason) after the girls go to bed and look at the stars (few that there are over here). Pollution is such a bummer! But, the sky is still so amazing.

Oh, another 'natural event' that completely moves me - When you can see the beautiful rays of sunlight coming down through an opening in the clouds. I feel like it's God saying hello to us. I can't explain how much or why it overcomes me so much. Just makes me feel close to Him.

I cut flowers out of my garden, sit on the beach and listen to the waves, go for walks. I like to get outside into nature too.
