What Matters Most

I surprised the kiddo's with these today.

They didn't taste very good nor did they look very pretty (my opinion). However, to the ones I love and whom I made them for.

They were YUMMY-- YUM and BEAUTIFUL.

NOTE TO SELF: It's the little things that mean the most. The kids will never remember what the cake looked like or tasted like. But, they will remember feeling special and loved.

They look cute! I'm making the kids strawberry flavored rice krispie treats today. I found strawberry marshmallows at target. They are going to love them.
And you are so right, all they need is to feel loved, it doesn't matter what it is you give them, as long as they have your love and attention.

I forgot my kids. I've been so caught up in trying to love my husband "long distance" this Valentine's Day, that I forgot about doing something for my kids. Thanks for the reminder. I still have time. I think what you made looks great. You even decorated the cake cover.

You are so right about that feeling loved and special. That really is what they will remember. What a sweet Mommy you are!

I'd love for you to visit my blog today and tell me your story about this. I want to think that I am not the only one who has ever done this!

Hope,

What are you nuts??? Those are simply stunning, and I am sure that they tasted yummy...they are too cute not too!

You are right though...the kids will NEVER remember what they tasted like, but they WILL always remember that you loved them enough to do something so sweet and special for them!

Go Mom!!!

xoxo,
Melissa

I decided to make Valentine sugar cookies for my kids. But when they found out, they wanted to cut them out and decorate them too. They had more fun that way. So, I gave them cookie dough for Valentine's Day.
