HYPNOTIZED BY NIAGARA FALLS - DISTURBED BY THE TRASH

AHH...Canusa Games....Niagara Falls..What a weekend!!!!

Hubby and I went to Canada this weekend to watch our monkey's play in the Canusa games. I don't know how many of you know about the Canusa Games but here in my part of the world they are a BIG.

The CANUSA Games were created in 1958 through the joint efforts of the Canadian and USA Amateur Athletic Unions.

The CANUSA Games presently have about 1600 athletes in 20 sport areas, and while the organization has drawn considerably, the ideals remain the same; volunteers working in their community for the social and recreational betterment of young and old."

The monkeys had an awesome time. They were so proud to represent their country....they did us proud.

After the games wrapped up we decided to travel to Niagara falls. Wow....

I can mark this off my list : "Things to do before I die".

* EXPERIENCE NIAGARA FALLS. (check)

I started this list when I was 14 years old. I have accomplished many but still have many more things to do. I am forever adding to it as I get older. The falls were without a doubt breathe taking. Words can not express God's wonderful work.

The thing that's so darn disturbing was what humans have done. As I was in total awe of the water fall ...I looked down over the railing and was disgusted at what I saw....

GARBAGE ---TRASH -- LITTER--RUBBISH--WASTE--JUNK thrown over the side, just lying there on the rocks. You can call it what you want...but I call it wrong. What the heck is up with people. Why would anyone do this????? I just don't get it!!!! Such a beautiful place littered with oodles of GARBAGE. How sad!!!

I was just wondering, have you every seen anyone throw their garage out with no regard for the environment or their surroundings?

That is so disturbing to hear. I visited there when I was in middle school and can still "feel" that experience in my mind. It was such an amazing place.

I have no idea how people can be so disrespectful. It is such a shame.

Hey girl!
We visited the falls too- I thought they were amazing but was really disappointed by the carnival atmosphere in town.

Glad you got to see them though!

Sue

Oh yeah. I was shocked once when I was stopped at a red light and watched the people in the vehicle in front of me toss out loads of trash on the grass.
I mean, they tossed bags of fast food, soda cans, tissues and paper. It made me furious!!!

Why do people do that? I'll never understand it.

It's terrible that people have such disregard for beauty, and choose to litter. I am so glad you got to see The Falls, though! I haven't been in years and would love to go again soon.
