THANKFUL THURSAY-THIS BODY

I am thankful for this body.

Head to toe.

Wow...that sounds pretty vain.

Let me explain.

My body can NOT wear all the skinny-mini little fashions. The cutie pu-tu-te sundresses. I am happy if I can put on a pair of jeans in the morning and not feel fat in them. Come on...--- you know what I mean. I am thankful this body has not failed me. It has been doing LOTS of overtime. I have been using it HARD lately. I am getting all the flower beds ready for planting in 2 weeks. The kitchen herb garden soil turned over. Plants divided, Veggie garden soil turned and compost tilled in. Not to mention the tree pruning and many..many other projects. Oh.....and moving rocks seems to be a constant thing. There is still much more to do.....but every morning I am able to get out of bed.
Thank you JESUS!!!!

God loves you just the way you are, which is beautiful.

I know exactly what you mean....I have had the same kind of projects! I always say if it doesn't hurt it doesn't work!

That was cool...because, no matter how we look, what size we are, or how well it still functions...God did give us our bodies, and they serve us well, don't they? What a marvel He made when He created human beings!!

Thanks for sharing!!

Amen! I am thankful for mine too -- as imperfect (in my eyes!) that it is! This body will be working in the garden once all this rain slows down. Blessings!

I agree with you--I too am thankful that I can still get out of bed every morning, without too much trouble (I might over-sleep *grin*). Cool that you get your garden ready. I love fresh herbs :) - I need to plant some basil and parsley.

Thank you for sharing with us your thankful heart this week.

Be blessed today and always.

What a great thing to be thankful for! I am usually very grumbly about myself, so how refreshing to read about someone being thankful for themselves! Thanks also for swinging in, and hope to see you next Thurs.

You are a crazy woman! Oh--what I really meant to say is...

You are an inspiration!

I barely get the grocery shopping done...and you're turning soil for herbs! Phew!

Still, you are so right, whether we buy our products....or grow them...we need our body!

Great thankful list!

Diane

Amen sister!

Reminds me...I saw a guy on TV today that does all the botox treatments for women and himself- he looked ridiculous.
I can take the wrinkles- but who wants to walk around looking surprised every where they go?

I've earned these "laugh lines" I'm going to wear them proud- can I get an AMEN?!

I appreciated this! We are beautiful because God created us! And this post inspires me to want to strive to take better care of it...eat a bit healthier, exercise more...sometimes I take it for granted, and I don't want to do that!
Thank you for helping me to remember this - and to be more thankful...love handles and all! :)

AMEN, for that!! I love gardening but without my dad around I just don't seem to do so well. I will be glad to visit them in the summer and hopefully take some work off of my parents...

God bless,
