Doubting those close to my heart

the wounds from someone who say they

love you

are praying for you

a brother/sister in the Lord

hurt the deepest

I am called to forgive ... I know this

I am called to love ... I believe this

I am angry....hurt...confused...discouraged....wounded...

This verse came to mind just know:
Hebrews 13:6

So we say with confidence,
"The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?"

It hurts so much more when a person we love and trust with our heart hurts us. I pray that you will find the peace and comfort you need.

I'm new to your blog roll and wanted to drop in and say hello. BlogHer moved me from my old one to your's this weekend.

I don't know you, haven't been reading your blog and just stumbled over here from a BlogHer link but I do know about hurt from those close to my heart and I do know about forgiveness.

It isn't easy, but I've found that it is a choice I have to make every day - will I forgive today or will I harbor anger today? Each day that I choose to forgive brings a balm to my soul and while the scars on my heart remain, and the pain comes and goes, the peace of forgiveness stays. So I encourage you - choose to forgive, it isn't the easiest choice, but it is the best choice.

Oh and choosing to forgive doesn't always mean that you keep those who hurt you close. Sometimes you do, but sometimes you forgive and amputate the relationship from your life all at the same time.

Prayers to you.
